Trina Altman was has received her training through STOTT Pilates® and is an E-RYT 500. She created Yoga Deconstructed® and Pilates Deconstructed® to show teachers how to take an interdisciplinary approach to foster an embodied understanding of yoga and Pilates in relation to modern movement science. Her work has been published in Yoga Journal, Yoga International, and Pilates Style magazine. Her book, Yoga Deconstructed®: Transitioning from Rehabilitation Back Into the Yoga Studio is slated to be published by Handspring Publishing in the summer of 2020.

 

 

Trina and Kathryn talk about blending modalities together to create a type of movement practice that is supportive of the individual and what they want to do. Trina has a rebellious side, and has been mixing things up for years. They talked about somatic movement, and moving for the sake of feeling and sensing. They also talked about postural ideas, where some of these ideas may have come from, and if they serve us.
