What is Handstand & Pistols Club?
First of all, you do not need to be able to do a handstand (or kick up to the wall) to join. This is a truly step-by-step process to build up to handstands and pistol squats.
This 16-class guided program combines basic gymnastics, mobility, and strength. If you love bodyweight training and you don’t have loads of equipment, this is the program for you!
Handstands and pistols (single leg squats) require a combination of strength, mobility and skill. This program will teach you how to progress all three while having fun and playing around with movement.
Participants always leave our programs feeling inspired, strong, and more confident in their understanding of adaptation and recovery.
Each class will include five movements in total plus a specific warm-up. Every two weeks these exercises will progress or change to encourage consistent adaptation.
One class each week will be dedicated to strength, the other to skill development. This breakdown allows for more balanced strength, recovery and skill acquisition.
By the end of the 8-week program you will feel way more confident in your handstand and pistols abilities.
Range of motion alone isn’t the answer, what we really need is strength and resilience in those deeper positions.

“I really love Mindful Strength and Kathryn’s awesome teachings. I have strengthened my body SO much and I love all the brilliant movements and sequences Kathryn creates for each part of the body. It is truly a remarkable, life-changing program.“
“Thank you for the amazing classes, as always! I had a baby in April, and my body and capacities changed SO dramatically. It has been so great to take your classes as I started moving again — the emphasis on what you feel instead of what you do really helped me reconnect to a body that felt foreign to me.“
